| | Environment | Label Tech is committed to environmentally sustainable solutions not only for the protection of the environment for future generations but because it makes sound commercial sense for us and our customers.
This year Label Tech achieved both FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) and PEFC (Pan European Forest Certification) accreditations, committing to using paper products sourced from sustainably managed forests. This helps contribute to the social, economic and ecological needs of present and future generations.
Label Tech promotes the use of homogeneous packaging solutions with increased recycling capabilities, advocating the use of paper on paper and plastic on plastic combinations. Self adhesive labels are ideal for this as it is easy and inexpensive to match the material of the host pack to be labelled.
Compostable packaging options such as PLA’s (Poly Lactic Acid Adhesive) and biopolymers are also available.
Our newer presses are fitted with e-Brick power supply for superior energy efficiency, thereby reducing the carbon footprint of the labels. This greener technology means less waste on press, less energy used and less emissions.
A review and streamlining of delivery patterns this year, in partnerships with our customers, has resulted in us reducing the number of deliveries we make, saving money for both parties and reducing carbon effect. | | | | | |
